Well, so many stuffs happen these few days…
30/10 – Collect keys & clean new place up…
31/10 – Meet up new neighbours & show my unit… Great time and cool neighbours..
01/11 – Source out for lightings @ Jalan besar and the internet… managed to order a UVB (Black light from one of the shops… Found and bought a unique light for the walkway & bargained all the way.. That day also installed the light for the store room… Haiz… no photos taken, cause bz with other stuff. Then some problems with the lighting for the kitchen yard.
02/11 Study the electrical diagram and surf for tip of DIY lighting. Need to brush up my electrical skill. Nowdays new flat they use looping circuit la….
yesterday night [03/11] – Went back to my new place and do the rewiring for the lights after work. So kinda doing wiring in the dark with the aid of my headlamp… So lights done for master toilet, walkway, sevice yard and part of living room… Only left for MRS to do that italian lamp/cover. Then go back Jurong @ 12 midnight…
Now still very excited. Next is to install the door bell….
WILL post photos when I have them… House is in a mess…

Well… It’s about 12 hours more to go to key collection. Already packed all the stuffs required for cleaning and inspection..
And recently bought my personal tools (ahhh finally), cause all these while been borrowing from friends and parents to do my DIY stuffs.
Will update the tools I’ve got and a preview of the our newly pigeon hole…

Yesterday evening, went to HomeFix DIY store at Marina Square…. well why there, cause it is the main and the largest one in Singapore…
So many tools that I need to get to start DIY-ing cause all these time been using dad’s tools…
The store also have that AS-IS corner, just like IKEA, they are selling soem display set etc… I’m aiming for those steam cleaner which noemally price ard $900. But at HomeFix AS-IS, it is now selling for $500. Haha, house keys still not received yet… so will wait and hope the price will recduced to $400… then confirmed will buy.
I guess its also time to get some tools to be keep in the new house. Driller, screwdrivers, hacksaw, spanner, allan-key, etc…. But most likely will try to sorce for the cheapest tools. Which most probably can be found in neighbourhood shop @ yishun-one ….
Btw last year already bought the karacher vacuum VC6100 for $120 @ the straits times Zapcode bidding… hehe. And I think it cost around $400 at that time…

Well… I’m still in the mist of surveying on which fridge to go for…
If really have the xtra cash, will surely opt of Subzero side by side which i think will cost $12K alone..
As usual, I always want to have a $100K kitchen equipment and stuffs at a fraction of that price. Hehe… After looking through, have come to a decision, of getting a Fisher & Paykel Fridge but which model? Still to be decided on the model and will do some technical physical survey in town..
Here are some choices that I have narrow down:
E442BRX – Simple & moderate size and it is also on offer till end Oct’09…635kWh/yr but & 3 ticks
E522BRXFD – Slightly bigger and more energy efficient …596kWh/yr but & 4 ticks
RF610ADUX – My very ideal model with french door, water dispencer & ice maker… only use 811kWh/yr but & 3 ticks
Well… Lets hope I can decide on which by next week.. cause got lots of other things to plan…

Btw.. been doing some minor shopping on last Saturday. – Went to IKEA to get the UDDEN Sink console as the item is being discontinued.
Actually went to Ikea alexandra on friday to check out the sink but they stated it is sold out and will be discountinued. WAH… I panic as I had already done the drawings and calculating for our kitchen. Then luckily at IKEA Tampines, they still have few sets left… So we buy and keep it first at our temporary place. Learnt my lesson.. –> If really like and need the things, always get it fast or else thing might be gone by the time u get it…

Well… went to HDB web just now and checked that there is still 1 more unit that is for sale under HDB’s ‘Sales of Balance Flat’.
Blk 208B – 4 room (standard flat) – #08-82
The sellig price for now is $267,100 (WOW!!)
When we first apply that unit cost only around $180K.
So you do the math. Haven get house, already profit lots….
